HOW VINA CINCINNATI BEGINS

La Viña en Cincinnati es un sueño que se esta convirtiendo en realidad. Este sueño es el de plantar una iglesia Viña en el Centro de la ciudad de Cincinnati, Ohio. Nació en el corarazón de Dios y fue transmitido al corazón de varias personas que están trabajando para que este sueño se haga realidad. La meta inicial es de establecer cinco grupos familiares en área claves del centro de Cincinnati y la parte norte del estado de Kentuky para que eventualmente se lleve acabo el primer servicio en Price Hill, ciudad en la cual será plantada la Viña en Cincinnati.
Dios puso en mi corazón y en el de mi esposa el llamado para mudarnos de Los Angeles, California a la Ciudad de Cincinnati para trabajar tiempo completo en la plantación de La Viña en Cincinnati. Creo que esto no ocurrió de la noche a la mañana ya que nuestra preparación para aceptar un reto así tomo varios años de de trabajo arduo en nuestra iglesia actual donde trabajamos ayudando a nuestros pastores, Cesar y Edel López en la administración diaria de su ministerio.
Nuestros pastores nos han apoyado en gran manera haciendo viajes misioneros para reconocer el área. También Nos han dado su apoyo en las actividades que hemos tenido hacia la comunidad de Price Hill. Creo que la persona clave para que todo esto se iniciara fue el pastor de Vineyard North-west, Van Cochran. Van fue la primera persona que nos dijo que en Cincinnati había una comunidad grande de personas hispanas y en su mayoría Guatemaltecos. Estuvimos orando por aproximadamente dos años y medio hasta que el Señor confirmo nuestro llamado. Esto ocurrió después de la segunda visita a Cicinnati.
Estamos muy expectantes de lo que Dios va a hacer a través de todos los que están en el sociedad para que esta plantación se convierta en toda una realidad. Es una tarea ardua pero creo firmemente que el Señor Jesús ya nos ha dado la victoria. También creo que esta iglesia será la primera de muchas en lo que le llaman el Tri-state area. (Indiana, Ohio, y Kentucky).
Les pedimos que sigan orando para que los planes de mudarnos en el mes de Julio de 2008 se puedan llevar acabo y así podamos empezar a trabajar para lograr las metas iniciales.
Quiero también hacer mención de mi amigo Ray Streker quien ha sido de gran ayuda en todas las áreas. El ha estado con nosotros de una forma incondicional y ha hecho que nuestra tarea sea mucho más fácil. Realmente damos gracias a Dios por habernos dado el privilegio de conocerle. Te amamos Ray. También no podríamos dejar fuera a varias iglesias del área de Cincinnati y del Norte de Kentucky que también nos han ayudado en gran manera y les estamos eternamente agradecidos.

ENGLISH VERSION
Vina Cincinnati is a dream that is becoming reality. The dream is to plant a Spanish Vineyard in the area of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. God gave this dream to a group of people that are working hard to make it come true. The initial goal is to establish small home groups in the downtown Cincinnati area and the northern area of Kentucky so that we can eventually have our first service in the area of Price Hill, which is the city where the church is going to be planted.
God has put a call in the heart of my wife and mine to relocate to Cincinnati . We are going to move from Los Angeles to work full time in the planting arrangements of Vina Cincinnati. All of these, did not happen suddenly since we have been training hard for a few years in La Viña en Los Angeles where we have been working diligently helping our pastors Cesar and Edel Lopez to run different areas of the church.
Cesar and Edel Lopez have been backing us up all the way. They have accompanied us in our missionary trips to Cincinnati, Ohio to recognize the city and the area where the church is going to be planted. They have also helped us in the coordination of the three outreaches that we have done towards the community of Price Hill, Ohio.
I strongly believe that a key person for all this to take place has been Pastor Van Cochran of Vineyard North-west in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pastor Van was the one that told me about the great number of Guatemalans and Hispanics that live in this area. Before committing to this call, we prayed for about two and a half years until the Lord confirmed our call when we were coming back home from our first missionary trip to Cincinnati.
We are very excited and expectant to see what the Lord is going to do through all the people that forms the partnership to plant Vina Cincinnati. I know that it is not an easy task but, I also know that He has given us the victory already. I also believe that this is going to be the first of many churches planted in the Tri-state area. (Indiana, Ohio, y Kentucky) and the United States.
We Would like to ask you to keep on praying so that we can be able to accomplish our goal to move to Cincinnati in July of 2008. We are very anxious to star working in Cincinnati in order to accomplish the planting of the church.
I would also like to mention that my friend Ray Strecker has been a great help in al areas. He has been there for us unconditionally and that has made our work a lot easier. I thank God for his life and for having the opportunity to have met him. We love you Ray. I also want to thank all of the Vineyard churches in the Cincinnati area and their pastors that had help us in one way or another , we are eternally thankful for all the help you have given us.
